The "Building For Our Future" Capital Campaign received a signifi-
cant boost with a Leadership donation at the CAPTAIN ($2,500) level
from the West Wawanosh Mutual Insurance Company headquar-
tered in Dungannon. Accepting the generous donation is Hanover's
Keith Hopkins, W.O.A.A. campaign volunteer, from the company's
General Manager Cathie Simpson, with Ken Farrell (left) and Brad
Van Stone (right) displaying positive support.

First lawn bowling
tourney planned
for June 8

Bowling
club is having its first
tournament at the Greens
June 8, sponsored by the
Bridges of Seaforth. Some
100 bowlers will be pre-
sent commencing at 9:30
a.m. with the second draw
starting at 11:30 a.m.
Members are hoping the
weather co-operates.
Saturday, June 2 saw
Provincial 1st stage play-
off for men's fours and
ladies fours of District
played at the Seaforth
Greens.
District 4's team of Peter
McFalls, Jurgen Fesler,
Dennis Schmidt and Neil
Beuerman lost in an extra
end to St. Marys rink
skipped by Larry
McLellan with son Jamie,
Chris Johnston and Rob
Truax.
They will now advance
to the second stage held at
Burlington, June 16.

placing fifth.
Friday, June 1 saw Jack
and Marie Muir winning
fifth in the Gary Bean
Securities Ltd. tourna-
ment in Exeter.
Local jitneys are being
fairly well attended
although a few days this
past week were very hot
during the day.
It was with regret but
also wishing her good
wishes that Marian Smith
left for Scotland Sunday
evening. Marian and Jim
were active lawn bowlers
at the Seaforth Club and
Jim won the plaque for
most improved bowler two
years ago before his
untimely death changed
Marian's life.
