The Huron Expositor • June 6, 2007 Page 19 First lawn bowling tourney planned for June 8 T h e Seaforth Lawn Bowling club is having its first tournament at the Greens June 8, sponsored by the Bridges of Seaforth. Some 100 bowlers will be pre- sent commencing at 9:30 a.m. with the second draw starting at 11:30 a.m. Members are hoping the weather co-operates. Saturday, June 2 saw Provincial 1st stage play- off for men's fours and ladies fours of District played at the Seaforth Greens. District 4's team of Peter McFalls, Jurgen Fesler, Dennis Schmidt and Neil Beuerman lost in an extra end to St. Marys rink skipped by Larry McLellan with son Jamie, Chris Johnston and Rob Truax. Local jitneys are being fairly well attended although a few days this past week were very hot during the day. It was with regret but also wishing her good wishes that Marian Smith left for Scotland Sunday evening.
