From her makeshift classroom
inside North Street United
Church, Walker is offering a six-
week introductory Spanish course
that will cover common phrases,
signs and basic oral skills used in
Spanish speaking countries.
If you're feeling up to a more
intense challenge, Walker will pro-
vide more in-depth linguistic tools
including grammatical and oral
comprehension through private
lessons available upon request.
"I'm really flexible with the
lessons. I can visit homes, or meet
students in any public space,"
Walker said. "I feel good about my
Spanish. I feel confident about
teaching introductory Spanish."
In the fall, Walker will head
back to Peterborough to finish up
her final year at Trent. After grad-
uation, Walker hopes to revisit
Spain and travel more extensively.
"After I'm done my studies I'd
like to go abroad to improve upon
it more," she said. "I've spent time
in Spain and Costa Rica and I'd
love to go back and experience
more culture."
