Come out and enjoy our meal at
the Hensall Drop -In on May 17 at
Hensall United Church. Lunch will
be served at noon. Following lunch,
we will be hearing music by Audrey
Haugh. We hope you will all partici-
pate. Come on out for the fellowship
and great food. We welcome all local
individuals to this luncheon held on
the third Thursday of each month.
The cost is $5 per person. If
required, transportation can be pro-
vided. To make reservations, contact
Kay Mock at 262-3231 or Faye
Skinner at 235-0258 by noon on
Monday May 14.
At Carmel Presbyterian Church
Tracy Whitson-Bahro's message was
"Out of the Box". Joyce Pepper was
the organist with Harry Moir receiv-
ing the offering. The service closed
with benediction.
At Hensall United Church the ser-
vice began with an organ prelude,
welcome and announcements. The
passing of the peace was followed by
Lillian Beer lighting the Christ
Candle and reading. Rev Lewis'
message was "God Loves To Hear
Your Prayers". Eveline McAllister
was the greeter with Laura Lee
Schnieder playing the organ. Jerry
Traquair looked after the ushering
duties. The service closed with com-
missioning, benediction, and choral
amen.
There will be a family pork dinner
hosted by Hensall United Church
Youth Groups on Friday June 8 2007
from 5pm to 7pm at the Hensall
Arena. There will be roast pork,
baked beans, potatoes, vegetables,
salad and dessert. Adults $10, chil-
dren $5.
Tickets for the Scott Woods Show
are available from Bill Gibson (263-
2350) and Ken Firman (262-3508) for
the concert to be held at Hensall
United Church on Friday June 15 at
7pm. Proceeds to Hensall United
Church.
The Hensall and Community
Horticultural Society will hold a
spring plant auction on Monday May

23. We will
meet at the

Church at 8am.
We will be tour-
ing Heamen's
Nursery,
Carolian Wines,
Winter Wheat,
Hosta's Choice,
and Curio
Cottage. We
will return to
Hensall at
approximately

Legion prepares for Mother's Day
The month of May makes
everyone get the urge to
throw open the doors and
smell the warm breezes of spring.
This week at the Seaforth Legion, we are
all smelling the wonderful aromas, of food
as we again prepare to celebrate Mother's
Day.
A Zone Golf Tournament will be held at
Branch 468, Hensall at the Bayview Golf
Course. Deadline date to sign up is May 19,
so sign up at the branch.
A special night
will be held May
11 at the branch
for Comrade
Gloria Racho as
she retires after
many years of
service there.
The Ladies'
Auxiliary con-
vention will be
held in Exeter at
Branch 167 on
May 23.
Installation at
Branch 218
Brussels will be
held on May 25
for both branch
and auxiliary.
Plan to attend.
