grant money to
United Church
in Walton
Jackie Glanville and Teresa Baan,
both members of Duff's United
Church in Walton know how great it
makes them feel to give of them-
selves.
Both women work for the TD
Canada Trust in Seaforth and they
recently received recognition under
the TD Caring Together Volunteer
Grant Program under which an
employee of TD Canada Trust who
volunteers a minimum of 40 hours
with a charitable organization can
apply for a $500 grant to present to
that organization.
Jackie presented a cheque for
$500 and easily made up her volun-
teer hours by being the secretary for
the Sunday school, teaching Sunday
school, serving on the Nominating
Committee, the UCW Ladies supper
committee and volunteering at
country suppers, weddings and
funerals.
Teresa presented two $500
cheques, one for 2006 and one for
2007.
She is Duff's Clerk of Session, sec-
retary of the board, teaches Sunday
school, is involved with UCW meet-
ings, organizes cleaning bees, pur-
chases cleaning supplies, volunteers
at country suppers, weddings and
funerals and helps to keep the
flower beds neat and tidy.
