The tour will include the gardens of Margaret DeJong, Helen McNaughton, Sandra Melady, Eleanor Horst, Sheila Geddes, Dorothea Williamson and Mary Van Loon. At the DeJongs' spring garden, there are thousands of tulip and daffodil bulbs and extensive peren- nials while the McNaughtons have an English garden accented with ornaments. Geddes' terraced garden is filled with perennials and raised veg- etable gardens and the Horsts' gar- den is a peaceful backyard sanctu- ary. An old country garden fills the huge lot at the Melady residence while the trickling of water in the Williamsons' backyard ponds is a focal point. In the Van Loon's four acre prop- erty, the former market garden is now filled with flowers, vegetables, fruit and trees. While a tour was suggested to fol- low the Communities in Bloom com- petition last summer, organizer Barb Dalrymple says the Horticultural Society advised that on top of the work preparing for the Get Mower for Your Money! 1!. l LT 1042 Model 19 H.P.
