May is the month that we hon-
our all of our mothers. They are"
special every day but this
month we celebrate how impor-
tant they are to us.
Seaforth Manor Retirement
Home will be celebrating a
Mother's Day Tea on May 11
from 2-4 p.m. Come and have
dessert and tea with your moth-
er or grandmother.
Residents have been enjoying
the nice weather on the patios
these days. Many have been out
for walks in the afternoons or
just out on the patio enjoying
the beautiful weather.
Christine at the Seaforth
Bakery invited residents to
come for tea and goodies and of
course to show off our Easter
bonnets. They had a marvellous
time. The treats were great and
the prizes were beautiful.
The Manor's annual perennial
sale this year is in June so any
spare pots or plants, would be
greatly appreciated. This event
will be held on June 2. A family
barbecue is corning up on June
21.
We continue to enjoy the
entertainment
from various
groups that
graciously give
their time and
skills to us.

My apology to the Papple family
for giving the wrong name of their
brother in last week's paper, who
was killed in the Second World War.
It should have read Robert Papple.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
In the good old days, people quit
spending when they ran out of
money.
