Brussels Homecoming has
plenty of events for all
To the Editor,
Brussels is celebrating its 135th
Homecoming this year and everyone is wel-
come to join us the -busy weekend.
With so many things to see and do, here's
a taste of what's in store.
On Friday evening, opening ceremonies
and an old-timer ball game help to get
things rolling. A teen dance Friday evening
is at the Legion for youth.
There are also dances on the Friday and
Saturday nights at the arena with live
bands, a fastball tournament all weekend,
breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morn-
ings with lots of food tents and barbecues.
Saturday starts with a car boot sale and
antique car show, then a giant parade at
noon and a jamboree in the afternoon.
Team penning will be all weekend long
with teams coming from distances such as
Quebec and New York to compete.
Sunday has a multi -denominational
church service with a mass community
choir, grand opening of the Conservation
Park, duck races and a shirt tail parade and
fireworks at dusk, to help close out the
weekend.
For more info, log onto the website at
www.brusselshomecoming2007.ca or call

Hope to see everyone July 27, 28 and 29!

the opportunity will be good for our hearts.

council's review on May 14.
Council learned at an earli-

pipeline is the source of water
for Hensall, it is legislated to
have a two-day supply in the

Councillors were also told
the piping and valves, associ-

will have to be replaced.
