AFFORDABLE HOUSING PROGRAM (AHP)
HOMEOWNERSHIP COMPONENT
The Federal and Provincial governments have provided funding to
the County of Huron to make homeownership affordable for low and
moderate -income households that are currently renting and would
like to purchase their own home.
Eligible households include new and resale homes that are detached,
semi-detached, condominiums and stacked homes.
The assistance will be in the form of a forgivable loan of 5% of the
cost of an eligible home to a maximum of $8,500.00. Maximum
purchase price is $174,500.00 and household income must not
exceed $52,600.00.
In order to plan information sessions for this program, the County of
Huron is asking for expressions of interest from households that
would participate in the sessions.

for the construction of the works described below.
• Construction of cast -in-place concrete tankage for flow
equalization purposes
• Installation of sewage pumping station and associated works
• Supply and installation of miscellaneous mechanical

• Electrical upgrades to existing sewage plant including new
MCC and PLC
• Supply and installation of a I(X) kW emergency power supply
• Associated civil, mechanical, and electrical works

includes all taxes.
A certified cheque in the amount of $65,000 must accompany
