MCGRATH: In loving memory of a dear and
special father and grandfather, Patrick, who was
called home, 11 years ago, April 10, 1996.
You cannot lose the one you love.
For even when they're gone,
You feel their presence,
In the hush of every dawn,
You see them in the sunlight,
That makes the day so bright,
In the flowers of springtime,
And in the stars at night.
Each time we see your picture, Dad,
You seem to smile and say,
Don't cry I'm only sleeping,
We'II meet again some day.
When we're sad and lonely,
When everything goes wrong,
We hear you whisper softly,
Cheer up and carry on.
We've so many things to tell you,
So many things to share,
The most difficult thing to handle,
Is the fact that you're not there.
We always took for granted you would be in our
lives,
To help us along the way.
If we could turn back time,
And once more hear your voice,
We'd tell you that of all the Dads,
You would still be our choice.
Please always know we love you,
And no one can take your place,
Years may come and go,
But your memory will never be erased.
Lovingly remembered and sadly missed by
your children, Barbara, Cheryl, Sandra and Paul,
Donna and Neil, Ken and Waneeta and your
grandchildren, Mike, Nick, Tommy and Timmy

BEUERMAN: In loving memory of a dear brother
and son, Brent Douglas Beuerman who passed
away April 17, 1985 at four months of age. And
in loving memory of a dear father and
grandfather, Harvey Beuerman who passed
away on May 23, 1995.
Time is too slow for those who wait,
Too swift for those who fear,
Too long for those who grieve,
Too short for those who rejoice
But for those who love. time is an eternity
Hours fly by. flowers die. new days. new ways
pass by, Love stays.
- Forever in our hearts, Ron, Mary. Dennis. Evan
and Brittany 46-15-1
ZURBRIGG: In loving memory of Paul Zurbrigg
who passed away suddenly 7 years ago. Apr
15. 2000.
Remembering you is easy
I do it every day.
But missing you is a heartache,
That never goes away.
I hold you close within my heart,
And there you will remain,
Life has gone on without you.
But it will never be the same.
- Love from Carol Carter and Family 46-15x1

MCALLISTER: In loving memory of Flora Ann
who passed away April 11, 2004
11 was a sudden parting
Too bitter to forget
Those who loved you dearly
Are the ones who can't forget
We often sit and think of you
And think of how you died
To think you could not say goodbye
Before you closed your eyes
The blow was hard, the shock severe
To part with one we loved so dear
Our loss is great, we'll not complain
But trust in God to meet again
Two tired eyes are sleeping
Two willing hands are still
The one who worked so hard for us
Is resting at God's will
Our family chain is broken
Nothing seems the same
But as God calls us one by one
The link shall join again.
- You will always be remembered by your sisters
Katie, Helen, Barb, Marie and brothers Vern,

Carol Carter tries
bowling for Canada.
Susan H u n d e r t m a r k
After lawn bowling and
winning medals at
provincial and national
levels for the past few
years, Carol Carter is
ready to bowl
internationally.
The Mitchell resident
and longtime member of
the Seaforth Lawn
Bowling Club is currently
in Arizona until April 17
on her first "assignment"
playing for Canada.
"It's exciting. It's a
North American challenge
so I'll be bowling against
people from the U.S. I just
hope we bowl well and
earn some kind of medal,"
she says.
Carter won gold at the
nationals in 1999 -and
2004 in fours and 2005 in
pairs. She also picked up
a silver in fours in 2000.
Last year, she went to the
nationals with teammates
Carole Fuller, Jo Anne
Bugler and Maureen
Thompson and won
bronze.
Because of the points
she accumulated during
her performance at the
nationals and provincials
over the years, Carter
applied two years ago to
represent Canada in lawn
bowling and attended a
camp in Arizona.
But, because she's "not
a big traveller," she got
cold feet and decided
26. Help Wanted
against competition that
might take her to places
as far away as Australia
for weeks at a time.
"I didn't know if I could
handle it. I love bowling
but I'm happy with the
Canadians," she says.
Friends, however,
convinced her to give
international competition
a try and she reapplied.
"I decided to put my
name forward and at least
go on an assignment and
see what it was like," she
says.
From her national
competition, Carter has
met all of the other nine
women on the Canadian
team, four of whom are
from Ontario.
"Lawn bowling is my
only sport and I love it.
I've always been a
tournament bowler and I
like to get out there and
meet people," she says.
She adds she's been
"fortunate" in the sport
since along with skill, she
believes luck also plays a
part in her wins.
But, while she recently
bought a set of new cherry
red bowls after bowling
with the set she's had
since 1982, Carter says
she'll take her old bowls
with her on her first
international tournament.
"I don't trust the new
ones yet. I know what the
old ones can do for me,"
she says.
