Huron Perth Healthcare
Alliance celebrated all of its four
hospitals joining the
Southwestern Ontario Digital
Imaging Network with new
PACS (Picture Archiving

technology last week.
"This is a great day for us, a
real celebration to acknowledge
the great work done and to
share the importance of this
investment with the
community," said Alliance CEO
Andrew Williams.
"We as an organization have
the vision to be a leader and you
can only be a leader with great
people and strong technology,"
he said to dignitaries and
employees gathered at Seaforth
Community Hospital and
transmitted to hospitals in
Clinton, St. Marys and
Stratford.
PACS technology allows
diagnostic tests, including
nuclear medicine, CT scans, x-
rays and ultrasounds to be

which can then be transferred
electronically.
And, the Alliance joins nine
other hospitals in Southwestern
Ontario linked to the network.
"This is the largest, most
sophisticated network in
Canada today," said Stella
Skerlec, of Canada Health
Jnfoway, which presented a
cheque for $481,456 for its
portion of the initiative.
Skerlec said the network will
