Sympathy of the community is extended to Susan and Brian MacDonald and family on the pass- ing of Susan's father, Jack Elliott, of Ripley. An interesting paper was recently given to me - a Huron Expositor dated August 1940. The eight pages were twice as large as the pages now and a yearly subscription was $1.50. I noticed one picture in the whole paper and it was in an ad. Several interesting items I noted were - a lengthy article on the war effort; lawn bowlers from Seaforth were in Hanover for a tournament; and fear of an outbreak of Army Worms. The Regent Theatre in Seaforth had an upcoming movie TO SALE!
