Horticultural society
prepares for workshop
The Hensall
shuffleboard scores
for March 6 are as
follows: (five games) Gord Ross
471. (four games) Hank Dorssers
419. (three games) Grant
McGregor 553, Lorraine Alexander
452, Dave Woodward 419, Bill
Coleman 402.
March 17 is the deadline for
reserving your place at the Hensall
and Community Horticultural
Society's Annual Spring Workshop.
The Workshop will be held on
March 24 at Hensall United
Church, from 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
This year's event promises to be
better than ever, with three educa-
tional speakers discussing impor-
tant topics.
Victoria Serda, who attended Al
Gore's presentation, will be shar-
ing what she learned about climate
change.
Brenda Campbell from Cozyn's
in Stratford will address how to
grow and use herbs.
Brian Swaile from Trees Ontario
will finish the day telling everyone
how we can "save the planet one
tree at a time".
Breakfast refreshments and a
hot lunch are included in the $25
fee, and local retailers as well as
greenhouses throughout the
province have been very generous,
so the goody bags and door prizes
will be great.
Don't miss this fun and impor-
tant event. Phone 519-262-2715 to
reserve your place.
