Local team wins undertakers' spiel
What a stormy day last Monday.
Hope that was winter's last blast.
The service at Cavan began with
the Lenten meditation taken from
John 18 and 19. This presentation
about Jesus before Pilate was
given by Irma Pryce.
Rev. John's sermon was titled
The Invitation Without a Catch.
Greeters and collectors were Don
and Maja Dodds.
Ross Ribey recently sponsored
the team of Gord Pryce, Neil
Dolmage, Tom Devereaux and Paul
Dodds in an undertakers spiel at
the Granite Curling Club in Owen
Sound. To Ross's delight, they won
the trophy.
On Sunday, Don and Maja Dodds
helped Maja's mother, Mary Roobol
of Hensall, celebrate her 95th
birthday.
