March roars into Winthrop like lion
Well, March came in as a lion and
still seems to be roaring. Remember to
turn your clocks ahead this Saturday
night.
The Lenten presentation at Winthrop United Church
was given by Ann Bosman and Marion Hunt.
Rev. John's sermon was titled "Faith as a Gift - Not a
Provision." Greeters and collectors were Francis and
Carol Hunt.
All are welcome to the regular Sunday, 9:30 a.m. ser-
vices.
Ross and Joyce Ribey have returned from Myrtle
Beach. While there the weather was beautiful with
comfortable temperatures. They visit-
ed with Ross' sister Marg and her hus-
band who winter there.
On the motor trip down they ran out of snow in
Virginia, and on returning didn't encounter the white
stuff until Port Huron.
Visiting with Doug and Vicki Campbell and girls
were Sandra and Cassie Morey of Seaforth, Lisa and
Martin to Brinke and boys, of Clinton, and Bob and
Ruth Campbell.

children.
The Habitat For Humanity group will meet on
Tuesday, March 6 at 7 p.m. at the church.
At Carmel Presbyterian Church Tracy Whitson-
Bahro was the minister with Joyce Pep r playing the
organ. ,_,
The offering was received by Al Hoggarth and Frank
Varley.
The annual meeting and refreshments followed the
church service.
