It is hard to believe that another month has passed again, but I guess that means that spring is just around the corner. What a blast of winter we've been getting. It sure has made up for the mild months of September to December. February certainly was the month of road and school closures. It will be nice to see the flowers • blooming again. Residents enjoyed the Tim Horton's coffee and donuts at the Chit Chat Cafe this month. It was a nice treat! Lorne McKenzie enter- tained at our Diner's Club on February 13. A few more of last month's events that were enjoyed by all included: pet therapy day, weekly bingo, readings with Fred and Grace and physio classes. Therapy dog Buffy has become friend to residents Residents of Maplewood Manor were pleased with the results of Wiarton Willie after entering a contest to guess whether he would see his shadow. Spring will soon be here. Friendly visits from "Buffy" the therapy dog have been enjoyed by all. Huffy has become a true friend to many. A touch of spring was added to Maplewood as residents enjoyed the crocus plants that they pur- chased during the CNIB crocus campaign. Rev. Malpus, Pastor Hildebrand, Rev. Gould and Pastor Kennedy all visited Maplewood to lead in wor- ship service dur- ing the month of February. Love was in the air as mem- bers of the Huron Strings played very appropriate . music for our Valentine's. Day party. Valentines were also exchanged with our Grade 5 bud- dies from St. James School. Other musi- cians that played for us during the month included Carol Carter, Marjory Papple and ill Gibson.
