Playoff hockey was in full swing
this past weekend for Seaforth
minor hockey.
The first-year juveniles opened up
their Ontario Minor Hockey
Association (OMHA) best of five
quarter finals series with Oro in
Seaforth Friday Feb. 16, with a 2-2
tie.
Seaforth went on to lose Sunday 5-
2 in Seaforth and won 3-0 in Oro
Sunday night. Two more games are
scheduled for Saturday in Oro and
Sunday at 6 p.m. in Seaforth.
Lisa Campbell, who played an
integral part in getting a juvenile
team in Seaforth for this year, said
she never imagined the team would
make it this far in only their first
year together.
"The team has played fantastic.
They've really come together as a
team," said Campbell last week
prior to the start of the juvenile's
OMHA quarter finals series.
"lb get this far has been a dream.
To go any further would exceed our
expectations," she added.
The juveniles defeated Minto in
the Western Ontario Athletic
Association (WOAA) C division to
advance to the OMHA quarter
finals.
