Expositor Sports Radars head into playoffs with pair of wins The Clinton Radars won their final two regular season games, and fin- ished first in the WOAA South Division and will now face either Elora or Palmerston. The two teams face off tonight (Wednesday) in Elora. The Radars will play who- ever loses that game. On Friday night in Clinton, the Radars fell behind early to Milverton trailing 3-1 after the first period. Dan Easter scored the lone Clinton goal. Two and half minutes later, Matt Anderson scored to make it 5-3 for the home team. The Drives contin- ued to play hard and eventually tied the game at 5-5. With no scoring in overtime, the game went to a shoot-out. Jason Grenier and Luke Vick scored while Greg Klatt stopped all four Milverton shooters to give the Radars a 6-5 win. Klatt returned to the Radars line-up after being side- lined for nearly six weeks with an injury. In Tavistock on Saturday, the Radars came out firing and took an early 2-0 lead on goals from VanDooren and M. Anderson. After Tavistock cut the lead to one goal, Easter scored the Radars third goal. The Royals turned the tables on the Radars in the second, as they scored twice in the first two minutes to even the game at three goals apiece. With 5:24 left in the period, Nick Elligsen scored to put the Radars up by one heading in to the third. Only 1:20 in to the period, Luke Vick's goal made it 5-3. After the Royals got within one, Vick added his second to finish the scoring. Chuck Robertson shut the door on Tavistock the rest of the way to help his team to the 6-4 victory.
