Ag Society looking for new members and volunteers
At Hensall United Church, Peter
Gummow was the guest speaker
with Vern and Mona Alderdice wel-
coming everyone.
Carol Carter was the pianist. The
candle was lit by Julia Towton.
The message was "Do we dare to
use our gifts".
Garry and Janice
Alderdice were
the ushers.
At Carmel Presbyterian Church
Tracy Whitson-Bahro was the min-
ister with Joyce Pepper supplying
the music for the
ministry of song.
The offering was
received by Frank Varley.
The Hensall South Huron
Agricultural Society will hold their
annual meeting on Monday, Jan. 29
at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of
Hensall Arena.
New members and volunteers are
needed for the 2007 fair and the
future of the organization.
Everyone welcome.

Variety of performers draws full house at talent show
What a wonderful way to spend a
Sunday afternoon!
Queensway's Talent Show drew a
full house Jan. 21 with a variety of
talented performers ranging in age
from four to 80s.
There were piano solos by
Hannah Krebs, Evan Krebs, Jill
Bjelan, Johannah Soer and Dorothy
Deitrich and step dancing by
Kendra Rhynard.
Three generations made up of
Melissa Dykstra, Hannah Ladd,
Vanessa Ladd, Jane Ladd and
Kathy Dykstra clogged to
Grandma's Feather Bed and other
numbers. Howie Grealis sang the
Mouse song and Clinton song and
Ed Galloway with Carol Gascho
sang Danny Boy accompanied by
music therapist Lisa Stewart.
Hannah Krebs performed the
Sword Dance and the Highland
Fling. Little Maria Robinson recited
a poem titled "Snowman."
Seven-year-old Joseph Flynn
played three selections on the vio-
lin accompanied by his grandmother
Marie Flynn at the piano.

show with two
resounding num-
bers'on the violin
accompanied by Harvey Smith on
guitar.
The audience composed of resi-
dents, family members and proud
parents showed their appreciation
with generous applause and most
stayed to enjoy the refreshments
afterward served by volunteers,
Mariette Bilcke, Betty Simmons,
Francis Kinsman, Donna Smale and
Rebecca Robinson.
The talent show was a great way
to break the January doldrums that
so often follows the excitement of all
the special December events.
Rev. Alex McGillvery of Zurich
and Dashwood United Churches led
worship Tuesday for residents with
Belva Fuss as volunteer pianist.
