Kristine is the daughter of Jim Holland and Joanne Holland of Seaforth and Robert is the son of Kirk and Denise Bannerman of Wellesley. The couple honeymooned in amaica and are now residing in London, Ont. The money was raised during the team's New Year's Eve dance. New members welcomed into branch This past week, nine new members were initiated into the Seaforth Legion with Comrades Jim Watson and Sgt. at Arms Gord Dick in charge. The new members were Mike Durst, Donelda Davis, Bill McClure, Dean Russell, Cheryl Talbot; Wade Broome, Julie Snell, Carol Carter and Kim Morris. It is won- derful to see so many young members coming into the Branch. On Saturday morning, a cheque for $700 was presented to Branch President Gwen Harburn by Pat DeJong and Kurt Beuerman from the Winthrop Ball Team. Veteran Service Officer Randy Groundwater will be at the Branch Feb. 2 at noon. Anyone wishing to see him can call the Branch for an appoint- ment. A council meeting will be held in Exeter on Feb. 19 at 8 p.m. The Zone Convention will be held in Brussels on March 19 at 2 p.m. Anyone inter- ested in going please contact Comrade Gwen Harburn. Seaforth and Huron Oaks Golf Tournament is being held on May 19. Sign up at the Branch as soon as possible as only the first 36 people will be accepted. Friday night food is going well and will con- tinue for the winter months. The branch was saddened this past week with the passing of Comrade Louie Nigh. Our condolences to his family. To Comrade Jim Brown and family, our con- dolences in the passing of Eva Brown who was a Past President of both the Branch and Ladies Auxiliary and Past Zone Commander of the Auxiliary of Zone C-1. To any of our members who are on the sick list get well soon. Winter will soon be over.
