annual meeting Jan. 29 at arena
Come out and enjoy our meal at
the Hensall Drop -In on Jan. 18 at
Hensall United Church.
Following lunch at noon, music
from Jim and Elaine Scott will be
featured.
All local individuals are welcome
to the luncheon held on the third
Thursday of each month for $5 per
person. If required, transportation
can be provided.

The annual meeting of the
Hensall and Community
Horticultural Society will be held at

on Monday, Jan. 15. Everyone is
welcome.
At Hensall United Church, Rev.
Ken Lewis was the guest minister.
Mona and Vern Alderdice were
the greeters with Garry and Janice
Alderdice receiving the offering.
Chuck Mallette was the pianist for
the ministry of song.
At the first Sunday service after
Christmas at Hensall United
Church, Lillian Beer lit the candle
and also was the reader.

the title of Melissa Snyder's mes-
sage.
Gary and Judy Kyle were the ush-
ers with Lillian Beer welcoming the
people. Bill Gibson was the organ-
ist. Kathy Mann looked after the
children.
The Hensall South Huron
Agricultural Society will hold their
annual meeting on Monday, Jan. 29
at 7 p.m. in the auditorium of
Hensall Arena.
New members and volunteers are
needed for the 2007 fair and the
future of the o:'ganization.
Everyone is welcome.

Singing, dancing and playing
instruments at Jan. 21 talent show
Queensway Nursing and
Retirement Home in Hensall ush-
ered in 2007 with a message and
music by Bob Heywood.
Family, friends and community
joined residents for the afternoon of
music, visiting and refreshments;
toasting the New Year to the strains
of Auld Lang Syne at 3 p.m.
Queensway's volunteer auxiliary
met Tuesday morning to discuss
upcoming events and reflect on the
accomplishments of the past year.
The auxiliary is composed of
women who have given anywhere
from two to over 30 years of service
to Queensway residents. There are
many other volunteers as well but
this core group of women provides
assistance at a variety of daily pro-
grams such as euchre, breakfast
group, church, manicures and visit-
ing.
A new volunteer, Krista Ihrig of
Hessenland
Country Inn, is
coming on board
for the winter
months. She will

The Rev. Mary Beth Wilson of
Brucefield and Kippen United
Churches led worship Tuesday
afternoon with Belva Fuss as volun-
teer pianist.
Student volunteers Josh Gerber,
Anna Hoffman and Meagen Butt
spent two days at Queensway pack-
ing away Christmas decorations, -
dismantling trees, playing euchre
with residents and painting finger-
nails.
Coffee and Current Events, exer-
cises, massage, music therapy and
word finds also occupied residents
throughout the week.
