Josh Robinson and Jack Henderson played strong offensively and defensively in the loss. Senior Mites Zurich 8 Seaforth 5 Goals: Ben Robinson 2, Logan Finlayson 2, Trevor DeCorte Coaches' Comments: Seaforth started out slow, but never gave up. The true spirit of the team came through in the last five minutes when they mounted a solid offensive attack scoring three goals. Jared Anstett did a great job in net. Logan and Will had great short handed goals. As usual this team played well together with help from the defense and forwards who are playing as a team. See more SCOREBOARD, Page 21 The Huron Expositor • January 10, 2007 Page 15 With a win and a shoot-out loss last weekend, the Clinton Radars have managed to hold on to first place in the WOAA south division for the timeme being.„.sft- Friday night the Radars host- ed the winless Thedford Dirty Dogs and came away with a lopsided 10-0 win. Luke Vick, Matt Anderson and Barry Young each scored twice, with Dan Worsley, Brenden Dale, Mark VanDooren and Berton Dykstra adding one goal apiece. Vick, Worsley, VanDooren, and Dale also collected three assists each. Ryan Shelton picked up the shutout in goal for the Radars and he also grabbed two assists. On Saturday the Radars travelled to Ilderton for a big game against the Jets. Just over the midway point of the first period, Lucan-Ilderton opened the scoring on a goal from Brad Yeo. Six minutes into the second, Steve McInally converted a Matt Anderson pass into a goal to even the score at 1-1. Almost five minutes in to the third period, Scott Henderson smacked home a loose puck to give the Radars a one -goal lead. The Jets wouldn't quit and with 5:12 left to play, Tim Parsons scored to make it 2-2. After a scoreless overtime, the game headed to a shoot-out. The Jets won the shoot-out 2-1 to win the game 3-2 and take home the all important extra point. Chuck Robertson played well in net for the Radars, despite the loss. The Radars sit in first place with a record of 15-3-2, and 32 points. Tavistock (15-5) is in second with 30 points. Lucan-Ilderton (14-3-1) is in third with 29 points. Hensall (10-7- 2, 22 pts.) is two points ahead of Wingham (10-8, 20 points) for fourth place. The top four teams in each divi- sion make the "AA" playoffs.
