Belfour says they must also supply a goal
qualifier for each end of the arena and someone to
record game statistics.
West Perth Mayor John Van Bakel will be on
hand for an official welcoming and the Upper
Thames Elementary School show choirs will be
singing the national anthem, followed by the player
introductions.
During the first, intermission, girls from
Mitchell's CHIP teams will be on the ice for a game
and a puck toss will be held during the second

will also be a 50/50 draw
jerseys.
As well, two girls from Mitchell's minor hockey
system, who sell the most tickets for the game in
advance, will be rewarded by getting to warm up
with the players and spend time with them prior to
the game.
While Belfour says she knows of some minor
hockey teams from St. Marys and Stratford that
will be attending the game, she says the event will
not be a success without the participation of
Mitchell's hockey fans.
"I really hope it's a success and everyone comes
out and enjoys the fun and makes it a community
event," she adds.

Alcohol, gun boot and running
shoes among missing items
From Page 1
Fresh prints were located at the scene and
with the assistance of the OPP 'K9 team, the
tracks located the man at a residence in
Egmondville.
Colin Young, whose home was one of the
three broken into, was home during the
break-in.
"I didn't hear anything. We have a dog in
the house and he didn't bark or anything,"
said Young.
Young, who was woken by a phone call at 6
a.m. by a neighbour asking if he was missing
any property, said alcohol, a gun boot for his
four -wheeler and a pair of his son's running
shoes were among the items missing.
"When I looked outside I saw there were
footprints in the snow up to the door," he
said.
While he's never reported any thefts before,
Young said it's the third time he's found items
missing from his home, garage or vehicles.
"It's disturbing having kids running
through the neighbourhood at night," he said.
"I'm definitely putting new locks on the
doors."
Young said he's grateful the alarm at his
neighbour's alerted the police about the
break-ins.
