At Hensall United

of Advent was hosted by
the youth groups of ,the
church. This was White

Sawmill Road Farm
Machinery Parade a success
Welcome to win-
ter!! From warm l
days at the begin-
ning of the week to a day of heavy
rain, and then to snow sure proves
this is Canada. Since we have had
so much moisture maybe we won't
have much snow.
Rev. John's sermon at Cavan
United Church was titled "From
Fear to Faith." As this was the first
Sunday of Advent the first Advent .
candle was lit by Zack, Farren and
Mike Goos.
Greeters and collectors were
Brian and Carolann Campbell.
White gifts were also put under the
tree. Communion was also served.
Next Sunday is the Sunday School
program at Cavan. Lunch will fol-
low this service. All are welcome.

I know many people enjoyed the
Sawmill Road Farm Machinery
Parade .on Saturday evening as
many driveways,field entranceways
and sideroads were filled with
watchers.
A lot of time and work, not to
mention lights, went into the deco-
rating of the machines.
The hay loader brings back fond
memories of my life on the farm. It
was a great parade and hopefully
anyone who missed it will reserve
this date for the next year.
FOOD FOR THOUGHT
For excellence, ask an expert, for
wisdom, ask a sage; for honesty, ask
a child.
