Golf courses join in
cause with fundraiser
Local golf courses are doing their
part to improve lung health,
through the Lung Association's lat-
est fundraiser.
New for the 2007 golfing season,
the Huron -Perth branch of the
Ontario Lung Association is selling
golf discount booklets featuring
more than 20 courses across the
province.
A number of area courses have
joined in the cause, including:
Woodlands Links Golf Course near
Clinton; Goderich's Sunset Golf
Course and Baby Boomer Golf
Academy; and the Seaforth Golf and
Country Club.
Featuring over $30,000 in savings,
the Ultimate Golf Savings Books
can be purchased at Huron -Perth
Lung Association office in Stratford
— at 342 Erie Street, Suite 121 — or
by calling (519) 271-7500.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will
go to the Lung Association, which
supports the one in five Ontarians
living with some kind of breathing
problem.
Redmen defeat Marauders
in final by 16 points

In the finals, the Redmen got out to a 13 -point lead in the first quarter,
before giving up nine straight points to end the first quarter.
The score remained close for most of the game, with neither team being
able to deliver a knock out blow. Finally in the fourth quarter, the Redmen
stepped up and finished off the Marauders, ending up with a 16 -point vic-
tory.
Despite being an 'A' school, CHSS' senior Redmen finished their pre -sea-
son with a 6-3 record against primarily 'AA' and higher schools.
The team will host Mitchell for its first regular season game today, Dec.
6, at 2:30 p.m. The junior boys will play around 4 p.m.
