This is the same brand of LEDs that Hydro One recently donated to a number of communities in support of local seasonal light exchange programs. The lights were offered to Huron East residents on November 24th, 2006. According to the ESA and the CSA, to date, there have been no reports of injury or property damage involving this product. However, out of concern for the safety of communities and our customers, Hydro One has decided to call back these lights and is warning communities and customers not to install, use or plug-in these lights. For Huron East residents who received Greenlite LEDs with a Hydro One logo at a recent local event, they may return their lights to the municipal office at any time from December 8th to December 20th, 2006 and receive a gift card of equivalent or higher value. Hydro One is disappointed to have to call back these lights and regrets any inconvenience this call back may present to tht people and communities who made the effort to participate in the impor- tant conservation initiative.
