"We were surprised by the team that won it," he said. "But, they were the stronger team." Hunking said it appears as if either • Saskatchewan or Quebec will be chosen to host the champi- onships in April. He explains that if the championships are held in Saskatchewan, some teams from the east coast are less like- ly to make the trek. Likewise, if they are held in Quebec, teams from out west will be less likely to go. This year's champi- onships were to be held in Lethbridge, Alberta, but organizers there pulled out of hosting the competition in early November. The new location is expected to be finalized on Dec. 2, and Hunking said he is hoping at that conference call, most provinces will know the number of teams they will be sending. But, he added, depending on where the championships are held, it could -still be another week before he knows if there's a , vacant spot for the Hitmen to fill. Hunking said if they are able to fill a spot the team will turn their focus to practising and gearing up for the championships. But, if not, it will be disappointing, he said. "It's frustrating," admits Hunking. "Now • the incentive (would be) to see how well we can do ildt4e 1 ague and try and iiir at the provincials."
