To Members:
The summer -of 2006 has come and gone and now is the time that you start to
think of the season ahead and that for snowmobilers is the best season. The last
six months has also brought about many meetings, discussions and phone calls
about the next season.
So, just to clarify a few points and rumours that have been circulating, North
Huron Trail Grooming will be grooming trails this winter. We have been
talking to many of our landowners this Fall and the large majority of them are
allowing trails to cross their property. There; are also landowners that are
supporting the revoke of land use permission and we as a club and snowmobilers
support their decision as well. What that means at a club level is we look for a
possible re-route around that piece of property and if there is hot a possible way,
that section of trail will not be in place until permission is granted again to allow
access. Therefore short distances of that trail may have to go to the road.
NHTG volunteers that worked so hard last year to bring trails to riders will be
out shortly talking to landowners, staking and signing trails for everyone to enjoy.
We are desperately looking for volunteers so if anyone wants to help out in
anyway please call me.
For North Huron Trail Grooming to continue having what we feel are some of
the best trails in the province we need your support and the way to do this is to
continue to buy trail permits.
Thank you,
Don Hardy
