Romnes was in Seaforth in

Seaforth people who'd sup-
posedly seen Lynne Harper
getting into a car at the main
intersection in Seaforth the
same day she was murdered

By asking the same ques-

older man and the older
man's son when the car
stopped to pick up Lynn
Harper.
As the story goes, the car
stopped at Seaforth's main
intersection to drop off the
Seaforth man and the older
man's son in front of a town
pool hall and the older man
continued to drive with Lynn
Harper, whose body was
found later the same day.
He says he is investigating
the story of another man who
lived in Seaforth at the time
and is hoping that communi-
ty members will share any-
thing they know.

Steffler upset over
bags left at cmpst site
Seaforth Coun. Joe
Steffler told Huron East.
council on Nov. 7 that he
was enraged to find
garbage bags left at the
Harpurhey compost facili-
ty over the weekend.
. "I found four garbage
bags, some of them filled
with used oil filters and
my blood pressure went up
to 400," he said.
Steffler, who led the
move to keep the compost
'facility located in
Harpurhey, said he
retrieved a name after dig-
ging through the garbage
and will pass the name
onto administration so
that some consequences
can be determined for
whomever left the
garbage.
"What really upsets me
is we discuss it . and dis-
cuss it and this is not a
garbage site. Everyone can
pay $10 and take their
garbage to the Mid -Huron
landfill site," he said.

Santa coming .to•tov•dn
It's the one night of the
year when Seaforth's,
Main Street is trans-
formed into Santa Claus
Way.
And, it's this Friday,
when the Seaforth Lions
Club rolls out the red
carpet and welcomes
Kris Kringle for the 24th
annual Santa Claus
parade.
Santa will be accompa-
nied by four bands this
year; the Brussels Pipe
band, Milverton Legion
band, Central Huron
Secondary School band
and the Seaforth All
Girls' Marching band,
With the theme "old
fashioned Christmas,"
this year's parade
promises to be just as
crowded as previous
years, says parade com-
mittee chair Joe Steffler,
who adds they're hoping
for around 50 floats
again this year and
walkers handing out
candy to kids.
The parade gets start-
ed at 7 p.m. at the
Seaforth fairgrounds and
will make its way down
Main Street, ending at
the Legion, where Old
Saint Nick will take a
break to sit and chat
with lucky kids.
Local photographer
Angela Smith will be
there .. 'taking pho-
tographs for $5.
