Along with his business
involvement, Fisher has also
been involved in community
sports both as a baseball
player in the Seaforth Men's
Fastball League and as a
coach and trainer on minor
sports teams where his three
kids played.
"If you want your kids to be
involved, you get involved.
And, you want them to be
involved because that's how
they learn," he says.
"Bob knows that things
don't just happen, people

Because Fisher began to
lose his eyesight around
2000, he eventually sold
Pizza Train in 2005 but con-
tinues to be involved in the
community.
During the past summer,
he played a pivotal role in the
Communities in Bloom pro-
ject and helped organize the
Seaforth tourism kiosk, often
staffing the booth himself.
"He is determined people
will not pass through
Seaforth without realizing
what it has to offer," says the
nominating letter.
And, recently, he's been
acclaimed to a seat on Huron
East council as a Seaforth
councillor.
"It's all been a natural pro-
gression. Now, I have more
time to do more things," he
says.
