"Bob knows that things don't just happen, people make them happen and he's been one of the people who helped make sports happen in our town," says the nomi- nating letter. Because Fisher began to lose his eyesight around 2000, he eventually sold Pizza Train in 2005 but con- tinues to be involved in the community. During the past summer, he played a pivotal role in the Communities in Bloom pro- ject and helped organize the Seaforth tourism kiosk, often staffing the booth himself. "He is determined people will not pass through Seaforth without realizing what it has to offer," says the nominating letter. And, recently, he's been acclaimed to a seat on Huron East council as a Seaforth councillor. "It's all been a natural pro- gression. Now, I have more time to do more things," he says. Story Idea?
