Horst said Grace and Brad Knight and Bob Fisher were our special guests. Brad wanted to speak to us about "Communities in Bloom" but could not stay so will call a meeting later in the town hall. Eleanor Horst intro- duced speaker Tom Dunbar from the Riverline Store in Goderich. It is a bird store and has been there for seven years. He goes all over to clean up oil spills and uses Dawn. Birds need three things - food, shelter and water. Access to water is very important because they use it to preen and clean their feathers. Be sure and clean bird- houses every year and spray with Javex to kill the parasites. For food, use black oil sunflower seeds but be aware.. that some blends have a lot of filler. Suet is good mixed with peanut butter. Cardinals and Morning Doves will fill their crops and go somewhere else to eat.
