"It took us a couple of games to get going - the first two were a little rocky," he added, noting that had one of their first two games gone a little differently, they would have faced an easier opponent •in the elimination round and probably gone farther in the tournament. Shortreed and most of the Snipers left for home early Saturday (Nov. 4), returning home late that night, while some players waited • another day before returning. The 1 World Broomball champi- onships will not be played again until 2008, which gives the Snipers plenty of time to work out any chinks in the chain they may have found while competing in Minnesota, says Shortreed, adding that he'll probably be interested in competing again. Notable performances by Snipers at the 2006 champi- onships came from, Dennis Kuhl, whose six points tied him for 10th in the tournament, Dave Squibb and Brian Wynja, who were close behind their teammate with five goals each and goalie Jon Deweerd, who tied for the most wins with five. Also, the Snipers' five straight wins over three days was a record for the tournament, while they were also voted by the tourna- ment's referees as the most sportsmanlike team. y aq STARTING NOV 10 -11 -12th SANTA PARADE SUN2pm for info call 519-565-5900 wxrw.bayf ieldcFamberofcomtnu'ce anw Vi • i f i "I Mitt
