suggested large yard waste be picked up along the road-
side with the rest of the yard waste composted in back-
yard composters.
As well, Maloney suggested ratepayers use mulchers
on their lawnmowers to chop up their grass and leave it
on their lawns.
While both mayoralty candidates and both Seaforth
councillors sang the praises of Huron East's economic
development officer Ralph Laviolette for his efforts in
securing a family health team and in researching a pro-
posed beef_plant in Brussels, Seili said an economic
development office suggested by Huron County should
be located in Huron East.
"We've got the business centre here and the people to
write the proposals. It would benefit all of Huron
County but the office should be here (in Seaforth)," said
Seili.
Seili said the warden's task force on economic develop-
ment is looking at hiring three people and placing the
economic development office in the county planning
office, a plan he disagrees with.
"Economic development needs to stand on its own, not
in the planning department," he said.
