New -look Radars include

When the Clinton
Radars took to the ice
in Goderich last
Saturday night they
did so : with at least
eight new players on
their roster.
With the departure
of several players, the
Radars were forced to
revamp their line-up.
Gone from last sea-
son's team are Curt
Yost, Brent Yost, Justin
Trepanier, Bill Byers,
Chris Chatterson,
Mark Wilson, Derek
Taylor, Ken Courtney
and Jonathan Keys.
Joining the Radars
are Clinton natives
Brenden Dale, Devon
Prouse. David
hropshall, Matt
McDougall and Nick
Van der Burgt from
Bluewater.
Also joining the team
are Luke Vick, Greg
McGrath, Nick
Elligsen and Barry
Young, all from the
Seaforth area.
Dale played last sea-
son with the Stratford
Cullitons. Prouse,
Shropshall, McDougall
and Van der Burgt
were all members of
last years BCH
Juveniles.
Vick has spent the
last four years playing
with the St. Marys
Lincolns. Elligsen has
Jr. B experience with
Listowel and St.
Catherines.
McGrath played
three seasons with the
Wingham Ironmen and
one season with the St.
Marys Lincolns.
Young played the past
two years for the
Mitchell Hawks.
Radars' defenceman
Berton Dykstra has
rejoined the club after
sitting out last season
while recovering from
knee surgery.

The Radars will play
a 24 game schedule,
which includes 12
home games with 11 of
those on Friday nights
and one on a Saturday.
The Radars' first
home game will be on
Friday (Oct.13) vs.
Wingham at 8:30 p.m.

Schools compete
in regional
tournaments
Three of St. James
School's soccer teams came
first and the fourth came
second in the recent
regional soccer tourna-
ment in Exeter.
The junior boys came
first overall, winning 5-0
against St. Boniface, 3-0
against Mt. Carmel and _4-
1 against Precious Blood.
The junior girls came
first overall, winning
against St. Boniface 2-0, 5-
1 against Precious Blood
,1 and tying 1-1 against Our
Lady of Mount Carmel.
The intermediate -girls
won their division overall,
beating St. Boniface 3-0,
Precious Blook -4-0 and
Our Lady of . Mount
Carmel 2-0.
The intermediate boys
came second overall, beat-
ing St. Boniface 1-1, losing
to Our Lady of Mount
Carmel 2-1 and winning
against Precious Blood 3 -
2.
Meanwhile, Seaforth
Public School sported a
junior boys and girls soc-
cer team at a regional
tournament Oct. 5- .at
Huron Centennial Public
School in Brucefield.
The girls. put up a good
fight, however couldn't
come away with a win, los-
ing their four matches.
Final scores were 3-0
against Hullett Central, 3-
2 against Huron
Centennial, 2-1 against
Blyth Public and 3-2
against Clinton Public.
The junior boys recorded
two wins, one tie and one
-loss over the day -long
tournament.
The boys' scores -were 1-
0 over Huron Centennial,
2-1 over Blyth Public, a 0-
0 tie against Hullett and a
2-1 loss to Clinton Public.

are as follows: Junior Champion Showman was David Robinson,
Reserve Showman was Christine Bone.,Senior Champion
Showman was Bill Brady, Reserve Showman was Greg Murray.
Champion Gilt was won by Renee Robinson; Reserve Champion
was won by Heather Bone. Champion Barrow was won by Leanne
Ryan and Reserve Champion Barrow was won by Greg Murray.
