Judy Mallette was the reader and candle - lighter. The ushers were Eric . and Eleanor Mansfield. At Carmel Presbyterian Church, Rev. Gwen Brown was the guest minister. Robert Bell and Ken Pollock assisted with the service. Joyce Pepper was the organist with Frank Varley and Robert Bell receiving the offering. By Liz Sangster Residents enjoy music Residents of Maplewood Manor are enjoy- ing watching the leaves as they change to the shades of fall. The month of September got off to a great start with a musical after- noon with Lorne MacKenzie. Carol Carter, Art and Eleanor Horst and Marjory Papple also visited dur- ing the month to entertain resi- dents with their music. The special attraction was, with Kristen and Evelyn Walsh who did a wonderful job demonstrating their step dancing skills. Maplewood Manor was happy to host an alzheimer coffee break. Many were out to support this very important cause. Residents are enjoying the compe- tition with volunteers who come to play crokinole; cribbage and bingo. Trivia is also another game very popular with our residents. The foot care clinic as well as manicures enabled residents to have their nails groomed to perfection. Residents welcomed Rev. Gould, Pastor Kennedy, Rev. Wilson and Rev. Malpus who came for church services during the month.
