Calvin and Diane Flood
welcome a new baby boy to
their family.
Several young people from
the area are continuing their
education and colleges and
universities. Melissa
Beuermann is attending
school in Kitchener and
Lindsay McNichol is in
Thunder Bay.
Sympathy is extended to
Ruth Axtmann and Marion
Godkin on the death.of their
brother Don Hemingway who
lived in Manitoba. Jim and
Ruth and Lavern and Marion
travelled to Manitoba to
attend the funeral.
This past weekend had sev-
eral events happening with
the fair in Seaforth and the
Thresher's Reunion in Blyth.
Except for Saturday morning,
the weather was perfect for
these events.

Legion makes preparations for
Legion Week's 8 a th anniversary
The fall is with us and the
Seaforth Legion is getting
quite busy.
Legion week this year, Sept.
17 to 23, is celebrating its
80th anniversary. ,
The Seaforth Legion will be
having an open house on
Frday, Sept. 22 from 5 to 8
p.m. and inviting the public
to come and see our displays

and showcases.
On. Sept. 23, we will be
going to Parkwood Hospital
to visit our veterans and take
them supplies.
The zone convention will be
held in Kincardine on Sept.
24 and the district sport
meeting is in Harriston
on Sept. 16.
The Ladies Auxiliary
will again be having a
bazaar on Oct. 23 from
10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Our general meetings
begin again this fall on
Thursday, Sept. 21 at 8
p.m. Let's have a good
turnout.

held last week with a team
from London as the winners.
The veterans' annual ban-
quet will be held this year in
Hensall with registration
from noon to 1 p.m. Oct. 29.
To Wilbert Maloney and all
veterans under the doctors'
care, get well soon.
