on Sunday, September 3, 2006, Mrs. Dorothy Nott
of Seaforth in her 87th year. Beloved wife of Earl
Nott. Loving mother of Kay and Louis Sorokos,
Judy Branan, all of London, Linda and Greg
Pinder of St. Catharines, and Nancy Henderson
of Seaforth. Cherished grandmother of Peter and
Annette Sorokos, Robert and Lisa Sorokos, Don
and Kim Levesque, Brandon Pinder and friend
Antoinette Diks, Christa Pinder, Michael
Henderson, and Jason and Kathy Henderson.
Great grandmother of Dennis, Chris, Colyn,
Chase and Theo. Dear sister of Margaret and
Glen Haase 9f Sault Ste. Marie. Predeceased by
son-in-law Alex Branan, brothers Charles, Bill,
Dave, Gordon, Ken and Don Murray, and sisters
Grace Kirkby, and Norma Larmer. At Dorothy's
request there Will be no visitation. A private family
service was held at Egmondville United ChUrch,
on Wednesday, September 6, 20p6. Interment
Egmondville Cemetery. Pallbearers were Don
- Lesveque, Dennis Lesveque, Greg Pinder,
Brandon Pinder, Jason Henderson and Rob
Sorokos. As expressions of sympathy memorial
donations to World Vision or Egmondville United
Church would be greatly appreciated. Funeral
arrangements entrusted to Box
and Smith Funeral Chapel,
Seaforth. As a tribute to the life of
Dorothy, a tree will be planted in

42. Deaths
HEMINGWAY, Dr. Donlyn Carl: Dr. D. C.
Hemingway had a sudden stroke, Saturday,
August 19th, 2006 and went to be with his Lord,
August 29th, 2006. Don was born March 31st,
1938, second child of eight, of Carl & Eleanor
Hemingway of Brussels, Ontario. He attended
the one -room schoolhouse near his home and
Seaforth High School. Bernice & Don married in
1963. After he graduated from Guelph
Veterinary School, they moved west to Manitoba
with their new baby, Katherine. Faye and Allan
were born in Manitoba. Don did veterinary work
in Pilot Mound, The Pas, Melita, and Souris. He
worked for Health of Animals in Winnipeg,
Brandon, and Boissevain. A farmer at heart,
Don loved the land, animals and helping his
neighbours. He will be remembered for his
Mercedes cars and antique John Deere tractors.
In 1983 he became interested in nutrition and
the subject quickly became his greatest passion
through which he helped many people world-
wide. After several retirements he kept himself
busy with private veterinary, and nutrition work.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Bernice; his
daughter Kathy and husband Lorne Girouard; a
daughter Faye and Trevor Hamm; his son, Allan
and Carla Hemingway; seven grandchildren
(Monica & Curtis Girouard, William & Charis
Hamm, and Estina, Kaylin & Sierra Hemingway)
his mother -in law, Viola Glanville; and all of his
brothers and sisters. Funeral services were held
in St. Paul's United Church, Souris, Manitoba,
September 1st, 2006. Internment will be
October 7th, 2006, Brussels, Ontario. Donations
can be made in his honor to the International
Schizophrenic Society (Dr. Abram Hoffer), 16
Florence Avenue, Toronto, Ontario M2N 1E9. 42-
