•Kora Bennett, of the Seaforth area, inspects a cow during a judging competition for Huron
County 4H Club members on August 15. The competition, held in Seaforth, found participants
inspecting dairy and beef cows, sheep, chinchillas, hay, cut flowers, knitting, and more. The
specimens inspected had been ranked from best to worst prior to the competition. Those partic-
ipating in the competition received points based on how closely their rankings of the specimens
in each category matched those of the experts.

It was a beautiful afternoon on June 17th, 2006 when Joanne Ruth
Rowcliffe and Robert Clarke Simpson were married at St. Thomas'
Anglican Church in Seaforth, Ontario. The Reverend Sue Malpus
officiated. The Bride was attended by her dear friends Carol and
Dana Martin of London. The Groom was attended by his son, Matt
Simpson, of Kingston and his daughter, Brianne Simpson, of
Hamilton. Ushers were BJ Rowcliffe of Hensall and Ken Farquhar of
Exeter. Readers were Timothy Rowcliffe of Barrie, Jane Carson of
Richmond, Quebec and Barbara Hicks of Clinton. Susanna Lyman
was the organist. An elegant outdoor garden party followed the
wedding ceremony at the home of the Bride's parents Betsy and Bill
Rowcliffe. Guests came from as far away as Lundby, Denmark, Port
Medway, Nova Scotia, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Seattle,
Washington. We consider ourselves to be very blessed to have so
many dear friends who made our wedding day so special.
Our wedding day memories are very joyful.
Thank -you to all! Joanne and Bob Simpson.
