The Seaforth Lawn Bowling Club
held their August pot luck supper at
the Club House with 32 members
present.
The next social will be Sept. 19 at
6 p.m. with Isabelle Hunt and
Marlene and Bill Roberton hosting.
Seaforth bowlers have been quite
successful in out of town tourna-
ments. On Aug. 20, Fred Tilley and
Dorothy Mero won first at the Wm.
Ducklow Memorial at Mitchell while
Jack and Marie Muir, Neil and
Donna Beuerman and Dennis and
Shirley Schmidt won first at
Heritage Greens in Kitchener in the
Canada Trust double entry mixed
trebles tournament.
Bowling at
London Thistle
Club Senior
Tours Snowball
saw Fred Tilley,
Lee Ryan and
Carol Carter win
the consolation
prize.
Bowling in
Chesley Aug. 27,
Neil Beuerman
and Shirley.
Schmidt won
third.
Jack Muir and Rick Elliott won
fifth at St. Marys' Lou Lavelle
Tournament on Tuesday.
Wednesday, Aug. 30 at Mitchell
Credit Union trebles, Jack and
Marie Muir and Jean Bewley won ,3:
second, while Erich and Joyce
Matzold and Fred Tilley were
fourth.
Bowling at London Thistle Club
on Thursday, Aug. 31 saw Jack and
Marie Muir win first prize in the
Getty Tournament and Fred Tilley
and Carol Carter were fourth.
Our anniversary tournament was
a big success again this year thanks
to the help of all members.
