Anniversary
tournament draws
large turnout
•.
Last Wednesday, Aug. 23 saw a very large
turnout for the Art Finlayson Anniversary
Tournament at the Seaforth lawn bowling
greens.
There were 54 teams in town from all around
Burlington, Hamilton, Woodstock, London and
Sarnia.
Although Mary was still in hospital, her fami-
ly took over with club volunteers and when
everything was done once again it was a huge
success.
The top six winners include Glenn and
Glannis Keene, of Stratford; Jim and Sue Roth,
of Sarnia; Steve and Barb Schatnecht, of
Chesley; Tom and Laurie Roth, of Dresden; Lee
Ryan and Carol Carter, of Goderich and
Seaforth and Neil Beuerman and Cheryl
McGrath, of Seaforth.
Around the greens on Saturday, Aug. 26, Fred
Tilley, Carol Carter and Lee Ryan won first in
Goderich and third was Jack and Marie Muir
and Jeannine Jefferson. This was Jeannine's
first tournament. Neil and Donna Beuerman
and Jean Bewley were fourth.
The next tournament is on Sept. 3. Everyone
is welcome to come on out and enjoy the sport.
