McNaughton relishes others enjoying her garden

Huron Family Health Team
Seaforth
To residents without a family physician:
If you or a family member does not now have a family physician, the Huron
Family Health Team in Seaforth is expected to begin shortly.
A Family Health Team is an approach to primary health care that brings
together different health care providers to co-ordinate the highest possible
quality care to patients. The goal of the Huron Family Health Team in Seaforth
is to provide all Huron County residents ready access to a health care
professional.
As it begins, the team is gathering information across Huron County and area
of anyone not now having a family physician.
Registration does not guarantee immediate service. This stage will first gather
the information to determine the medical skills necessary to implement the
Team. As residents register, visits to a health care professional will be
arranged. The Team will make appointments first for those already on
physicians' and clinic waiting lists. Anyone without a family physician is
encouraged to register.
To voluntarily register, be prepared to provide for each resident - name, 911
,address, mailing address, nearest town, postal code, phone number, birthdate.
The information gathered will be used solely by the Family Health Team.
To register, phone: 519.887.8886, 519.527.2431, or 519.440.6020.
Forms are also available at the Seaforth and Brussels Libraries or printable
from the front page of website www.huroneast.com.

She says much of her collection
comes from garage sales or ffs gifts
from friends and family.
"I'll pick them (lawn ornaments)
up whenever I see them," she says.
"If I see something and I don't think
it will fit in my house, I'll think will
that fit in my garden?"
Aside from the many common
ornaments in her garden, such as
small sculptures and bird baths,
you'll find some more peculiar
items, such as two headboards from
a bed, an old wooden chair and what
Helen does her best to describe as "a
brass decorative piece," which hangs
on their shed.
"Sometimes I'll see something that
wouldn't appeal to me, putting it in
my house, but it might in my gar-
den," Helen adds.
Helen says she usually puts little
thought into the colours of what
she's planting, but did add some red
and white coloured flowers this
summer specifically for the
Communities in Bloom competition -
which Helen says she's looking for-
ward to.
"I get enjoyment out of other peo-
ple enjoying it (my garden)," she
says.
"It would be a boring world with-
out grass, trees and flowers."
