Expressing disbelief that
a township council would

Marjorie Cartwright, of Seaforth was among the 99 who gave
blood at the blood donor clinic at the Seaforth Community Centre
Aug. 7. Volunteer organizer Nancy Denham says the participation,
which is usually around 150-180, was probably low due to it
being run on the holiday Monday.
"People are starting to
realize there was a benefit
(to pesticide use)," he said.
Tuckersmith Coun. Larry
McGrath said banning pes-
ticide use will next lead to a
ban of chemicals that con-
trol bugs and "we'll also
have insects out of control."
Tuckersmith Coun. Bill
DeJong said he was sur-
prised to see a rural area
coming out against pesticide
use.

What troubles me most
is how President Bush
either refuses to acknowl-
edge, or maybe he is just
too ignorant torealize,
that it's ':. not just
Americans that need to be
patient and suffer the con-
sequences of his decisions
- it's all of us.
With all of the fighting
going on in the Middle
East, and apparent possi-
ble violence that has
thankfully been caught in -
time, in both Britain and
Canada, does anybody feel
any safer now
than before?
