Kippen United Church women provided assistance and prizes for the last bingo in July. Monday afternoons in August ice cream parlours are scheduled and then bingo will be back in September with the Hensall Presbyterian women. Volunteer Auxiliary mem- bers met Tuesday morning to preview the August calen- dar. In the afternoon, the Rev. Mona Goulette of Bayfield Anglican Church led wor- ship with Belva Fuss as vol- unteer organist. Several ladies met in the sunroom to benefit from handsoaks, manicures and fresh polish. Lisa Stewart, registered music therapist worked with residents individually throughout the morning Thursday and also with her group. Lisa brings many dif- ferent instruments to share with residents, so they can make music with her. In the afternoon, several residents gathered to do some corn husking, helping to prepare the corn for the supper meal. The seasonal vegetable is a special treat picked fresh in the morning, husked and enjoyed the same day. Staff member Gail Parsons brought in some special visitors for residents Friday morning. Two of her newly -hatched pheasants in their glass aquarium with a mesh roof made an appear- ance at the Fun and Fitness group. Legion hall packed full for seniorsdance featuring live music What a night the Seaforth Legion had on July 28 help- ing the town celebrate. Moonlight Madness. Mike Smale and Colin Young and committee led a well-run parking lot dance that was filled to capacity. The young people enjoyed the band VooDoo Lounge Fish Fry Aug. 13 very much. Fern' Chesney and her committee ran a wonderful seniors' dance with music by the Red Rascals, of Hanover. The hall was full. There was also a fish fry for 350 people and the Brussels Legion catered, cooking the fish. and chips The Hensall shuffleboard scores for Aug. 1 are as follows: (five games) Catherine DeCorte 458.
