Cards of Thanks DICKINS Thank you hardly seems sufficient to express our gratitude to our neighbours, friends, relatives, Laurie's colleagues and students who have been so supportive during this most difficult time. Thank you to the doctors and nurses at LHSC 7th floor adult oncology for all you did for Laurie. To Pastor Phil and Jen Wagler for your hospital visits to Laurie and for being there for the boys and I and for the wonderful service. Grace was given by George Ribey. Following supper five greens enjoyed lawn bowling with euchre played in the club house. Winners were: green tickets, high, - Mary Finlayson; lone hands, Marlene - Roberton; consolation, Olive Papple; white tickets, high, Ken Preszcator; lone hands, Betty Hulley; consolation, Edna Mitchell. The next social will be Aug.. 15 at 6 p.m. with Jack and Marie Muir hosting. Sunday, July 23 saw a mixed pairs, ladies pairs tournament at the Seaforth Greens with eight greens in play. First place went to Lee Ryan and Carol Carter. Winning second and one point less were Jack Muir and Marg Ungarian. Four teams competed at Goderich July 17 at 6 p.m. in an evening tournament with Rick Wood and June Moore winning first. Neil Beuerman and Marg Ungarian second, Keith Snell and Marion Smith third and consolation to Jack and Marie Muir. In an evening men's pairstournament at Lucknow three ten -end games starting at 7 p.m. saw Neil Beuerman and Robert Lee take second, Keith Snell and Rick Elliott third and Rick Wood and Dave Ducklow take consolation. Rick Wood, Keith Snell and Marion Smith won first prize at an Exeter tournament on Saturday sponsored by Heartland Credit Union. by Mary Finlayson U-HauI stolen in Vanastra A U -Haul trailer was stolen sometime overnight on July 22 from the Great Canadian Solid Wood Furniture Company at 7th Ave., Vanastra, reports the Huron OPP. The owner returned to the business to find the 2004 four -foot by eight-foot'orange and white utility trailer had been stolen. Its serial number is 14HU081094TUV4932. 47.
