At Carmel Presbyterian Church Tracy Whitson-Bahro was the " min- ister with Joyce Pepper playing the organ. The offering was received by Harry Smith and Al Hoggarth. The service closed with benediction. On Thursday June 22 from 9- 10:30 a.m. a coffee hour will be held at Carmel Presbyterian Church. Everyone is welcome to attend. The Hensall Community Development Action. Committee and the Hensall Fire Department will be presenting an "All You Can Eat Fish Fry" on Sunday August 13 from 5-7 p.m. at the Hensall Arena. Adults $12, children $5. Proceeds are for community improvements. For tickets phone 262-2207. At Hensall United Church service began with welcome and announce- ments and the passing of the peace. Rev Alun Thomas was the minister. His sermon was "The Resurrection of Mary Magdalene". The organist was Donna McBeath. The greeter was Pat Campbell. The ushers were Pat Veal and Kay Mock. Mary Lou Hyde looked after the nursery. Barb Westlake -Power was the reader and candle -lighter. The service closed with benedic- tion and choral amen. Christian Reform Church women visit Residents had a wonderful after- noon Monday when women of the Exeter Christian Reform Church visited them. The time was spent outdoors enjoying the pleasant sun- shine, flowers and breeze by out: fountain and those wishing to go for a walk or wheelchair ride had the opportunity. The Christian Reform Women plan to visit each Monday afternoon this month. Queensway Volunteer Auxiliary met Tuesday morning and discussed the upcoming special events in June. In the afternoon the Reverend John Trembulak of Zion Lutheran Church • in Dashwood led worship service with Belva Fuss as volun- teer pianist. Staff and volunteers of Queensway took part in the Exeter Trade Show Wednesday and found it very worthwhile and interesting. Coffee and current events were the focus Thursday morning with residents perusing several weekly publications and the daily London Free Press over coffee and snacks. Lively discussions will often ensue over events of interest. In the after- noon a hat party was held in the Retirement Residence with Leslie Richards entertaining. Red hats, cowboy hats, spring hats and even a Santa hat appeared. Residents were busy Friday after- noon making their gift cards at craft hour. Everyone is pleased to be able to recycle beautiful donated cards in such a useful way.
