Seaforth Public School athletes fare well at track meet
Seaforth Public School
earned one first, three sec-
onds and three thirds in the
overall results at the region-
al track meet last
Wednesday in Seaforth.
Twenty-one SPS students
will be moving on to com-
pete at the system -wide
track meet at Stratford
Central Secondary School
on June 20.
Tabitha Arts came first for
the midget girls, Emily
Lansink came second for the
senior girls (tying with
Laura Youngblut, of Blyth),
Andrea Rowntree came sec-
ond for the intermediate
girls (tying with Heather
Gibson, of Hullett) and
William Ringgenberg came
second for the midget boys.
In third place were Rachel
Robinet for the senior girls,
Luke Harrison for the inter-
mediate boys and. Joe
Metzger for the midget boys.

the midget girls' 800 -metre
race, high jump and stand-
ing long jump.
Melissa Glanville, of SPS,
came second in the midget
girls' 800 -metre, Ashley
Campbell, of SPS came first
in the midget girls' standing
triple jump and Courtney
Higenell, of SPS, came first
in the midget girls' softball
throw.
William Ringgenberg, of
SPS, came second in the
midget boys' 400 -metre
race, long jump, 200 -metre,
800 -metre and standing

St. James School earned
one gold and three bronze
medals at the system track
and field meet at St. Anne's
Catholic School in Clinton on
June 8.
Shelby Janmaat took the
top prize in Junior Girls
standing long jump, while
Dean Johnston won a bronze in Senior Girls running long
in Intermediate Boys running jump.
