"The paint is

he said.
The mural, which

"The south exposure

Huron East assured FHT input

Huron' East council was
assured that a business plan
for the family health team
(FHT) approved for Seaforth
with satellite offices
throughout Huron County
will reflect the original
submission to the province.
But, while council was told
it would see a copy before the
business plan was submitted
to the province, that had not
happened the Friday before
the long weekend, said
Deputy -Mayor Bernie
MacLellan.
Nor had it happened on
Tuesday by press time, said
economic development officer
Ralph Laviolette.
"The chair of the steering
committee verbally assured
me the plan was being
written as originally
intended but I have not seen
the report. We have been told
we will receive a copy before
it is submitted," MacLellan
told council last Tuesday.
And, on Friday, he said in a
phone interview that he had
still not seen it.
"We're still waiting for

A consultant working on
the business plan for a family
health team (FHT) for
Seaforth and the rest of
Huron County was expected
to work all weekend on its
completion.
"Whenever the consultant
gets it finished, even if that's
the holiday Monday, Huron
East will get a copy of it,"
said Deb Hunt, the newly -
appointed co-chair of the
FHT steering committee.
Former co-chair Penny
Nelligan, who chaired the
committee with Kathy
Scanlon, executive director of
the Community Care Access
Centre for Huron and Perth
Counties, stepped down from
the position last week.
"I'd say it's workload. We've
been working on this project
for a long time and we all
have full-time jobs. Now, it's
my turn and I'll step up and
do it," said Hunt Friday.
Hunt is the CEO of South
Huron Hospital in Exeter.
"There are many players at
the table and it's a really
difficult document," Hunt
said about the tight timeline
before the May 23 deadline.
"We want to create the best
plans that will meet the
needs of the community," she
said.
Hunt said the
administrative offices for the
FHT are in Seaforth in the
business plan and all the
doctors seem to be on board
with the project.
And, if for some reason the
