Blythsingers go Broadway
at annual cabaret concert
It's showtime for the Blyth
Festival Singers as they get
set to host their annual
cabaret concert and dinner.
This year's event takes
place on Saturday, May 27 at
the Stanley Recreation
Complex, Varna.
Doors open at 6 p.m. and
dinner is served at 6:30 p.m.
The event features a full
course meal, silent auction,
music performed by the 50
voice choir and smaller
ensembles.
Entitled The Magic of
Musicals, the evening will
present the sentimental,
humourous, and passionate
music of the Broadway.
As a special guest soloist,
the choir will welcome Lesley
Andrew of Stratford. Lesley
has an extensivesolo perfor-
mance career with many
years of experience at the
Straford Festival, performing
in The Mikado, The Pirates of
Penzance, Twelfth Night,
Cyrano deBergerac, Through
the Looking Glass, The Music
Man and Patience.
Tickets are $20 in advance
for adults, or $12 for children.
They are available at the
