WHITMORE
Karen Whitmore
Dec. 31, 1956 - May 16, 2003
A daughter is such a precious gift
To Love to Hold to Treasure
A very special miracle
Who gave me so much pleasure
But when that gift was taken
And my heart was cold and tom
Amid this grief and sorrow
I was glad that you were born
For you left a precious legacy
Even though we're far apart
The love you left behind
Will stay forever in my heart
Deeply missed and loved forever
Your Mother Kathleen Whitmore 46-20x1 cc

TAYLOR
One life can touch so many others as the years
go by and leave a warm and loving legacy. Russ
was a great inspiration to us all. He faced his
challenges head on with determination and a
courageous outlook that we could wish for in
ourselves and in others. We have many to thank
for his life and for the comfort in his passing.
Firstly to Dr. Lapanno and staff at Mitchell Family
Doctors - you were so special, and to Dr. Seilly at
LHSC whom Russ believed in and thought could
fix all ills. To Karen, the homemaker, CCAC and
the VON nurses especially June and Janine -
they truly were "angels" sent from Heaven. To
Camillia LaRouche for her many visits to Russ
and her comforting message at the funeral. To
Jeff and Paul at the Lockhart Funeral Home for
your guidance in preparing the arrangements. To
the Hibbert United Church ladies for a delicious
lunch served to the large gathering. To Council
and staff at West Perth - you were there for me.
To each and everyone who sent flowers, cards,
food to the house, phone calls and visits - it was
wonderful and encouraging. To our many friends
who continually supported Russ and saw that he
was included in some the fun they enjoyed. Last
but not least to both our families, they were the
support behind both of us and our children.

Fire chief shows off new
thermal imaging camera
to Kinburn Forresters
Jeff Heuchert
The Seaforth District Fire Chief
met with members of the Kinburn
Foresters recently to show them the.
piece of equipment their donation
helped purchase.
Tom Phillips showed off the
department's new Thermal Imaging
Camera, which was purchased.
about a month ago, with help from
the Kinburn Foresters, who
donated $500 towards the camera.
The camera picks up any source of
heat, which is marked in white on
the camera's screen.
It can read up to a distance of
approximately 200-300 feet, said
Philips, although the distance is
less if there is any kind of
obstruction in the way, such as a
wall.
Phillips said the new equipment
will make
searching for a:
victim inside a
burning house
much quicker,
and will help
with searching
when visibility is
poor.

The camera can also be used
outside at night by picking up a
person's body heat, Phillips
explained, using the example of
searching for someone in a corn
field at night, which they have had
to do in the past.
The camera also comes with a
