Cavan's Cabaret fills
United Church Friday night
The recent Friday
warm weather evening ,
has brought Cavan Church
out the daffodils,
hyacinths and violets
along with Sunday's rain
which is sure making the
grass longer and greener -
time to get the lawn
mower in shape for the
cutting season. Last year,
on this weekend, we had
snow.
Rev. John's sermon at
Cavan United Church was
titled "Looking
Back/Looking Forward."
Greeters and collectors
were Marion Hunt and
Sandra Zwep.
Grace ` and Frank
Dolmage recently attend-
ed the graduation of their
son Brian from Fanshawe
College. Also attending
were Angela Van
Bruwaeri a and Jessica
Costello.
Don and Maja Dodds
attended the Kiwanis
Festival in Stratford.
Their granddaughter,
Heather. Godkin, received
a first and second placing
in piano. She also received
a trophy for highest marks
in her class.

evening over to the M.C.

The opening numbers
were presented by the
"Cavan Quartet." Other
entertainers were Bell
Ringers from Benmiller,
four harpists from Clinton
and Goderich area and
Jack Storey and friends.
Jack and the quartet fea-
tured numbers sung by
Elvis Presley.
Between entertainers,
Steve recounted many
events in Elvis' life, which
led to his success and
accomplishments and also
to his untimely death.
Several draws were
made for a number of
donations by Ray and
Barb Storey and Jim
Rapson.
After the show, a social
time with refreshments
followed downstairs. As
