"It was a real victory," says coach Al Nigh. The Seaforth Belles are the Western Region champs of the C division after beating London 3-0 in the final game. Round robin play saw Seaforth beat St. Thomas 9-5, lose against London 3-1, beat St. Thomas 2-1 before the gold medal game. Earlier in the day, Seaforth lost to London in the final game of the Huron -Perth championships, ending up with the silver medal. Their first game at the regionals decided the Huron -Perth results. "It was a great overall season. We came together at the right time with team defence and outstanding goal- tending," says Nigh. The Seaforth Tweens B ringette team came home from regionals with a silver medal, losing by one• point against London. "It was a very exciting game," says coach Anne Kramers. In round robin play, the Tweens won against Goderich 7-4, won against Elora -Fergus 2-1, tied London 6-6 and then lost the gold medal game 6-6. Kramers says the team's big accomplishment during the regular season was winning the right to rep- resent Huron -Perth at the region- als. "Our division was very evenly - matched. We started off slow but picked up momentum after Christmas," she says. The Seaforth Petite B ringette team won bronze on the invitational side of the regional tournament. In round robin play, the Petites lost 8-6 to London, lost 5-3 to Hanover, won 5-4 against St. Marys and lost 7-3 to Dorchester.
